A Florida resident for 13 years now, a great golfer, and dear friend... Nancy Hamm! We played 18 at Burnt Store Marina Golf course and didn't stop talking till her car pulled out of the parking lot. 2012 Queen of the Catskills Women's Tournament
Held on Saturday July 28th, 60 determined and dedicated women golfers participated in the "Queen" tournament. Rain showers and downpours may have dampened their outfits and clubs, but not their enthusiasm or spirit.
Thank you to all the guys who donated their time greeting guests from other clubs and acting as spotters and judges throughout the rain at our famous 9th, 12th hole and the hole in one prize #8. Thanks to Ben for managing the beverage cart and entertaining the ladies along his rounds. A huge thanks to our major sponsors who supported this event:

Lunch was great, presented by the Gabrielles' team. Flowers were
presented to Jackie Swenson and Marion Hoagland in
recognition
and appreciation of their many years of assistance to our club. Marion
has volunteered her time and math expertise scoring for this tournament
as well as those held by the men.
Every contestant left with a prize either for placing in an event or as a door prize, and a gift bottle of wine. The best tribute came from a first time contestant who addressed the group expressing her gratitude and appreciation for this well run and fun tournament.

2012 Stamford Golf Club Ladies League
The Stamford golf course ladies league meets every Tuesday night at 4:30 PM and tee off at 4:45 PM. The ladies league is open to all women golfers’ whether they are club members or not. The cost for nine holes for non-club members is $18 with a cart. In addition, the league charges $3.50 per person per night which is used for prizes at the end of that night.
There is a signup sheet in the pro shop each week which helps with scheduling. However, if you forget to sign up just show up on Tuesday night and you will be able to play. You don’t have to be an experienced golfer to play. Just come and meet some new people, play nine holes of golf and have a good time.

2012 Inter-County League
We currently have 14 women participating. There are (5)member clubs:: Stamford, Canojoharie, Cobleskill, Mohawk Valley and Nick Stoner. Each person pays $15 dues per year and must have played (2) 18 hole courses in order to play in the championship which will be held at Nick Stoner this year. Members pay $5 towards Prize money and $20-$25 green fee/cart depending on club's charge.
We are all also invited to play as guests(not eligible for prizes) at these additional (12) courses, which are members of another inter-county league: Catskill, Copake, Colonial, Blackhead, Frear Park, Red Hook, Rip Van Winkle, Rainbow, Thunderhart, Winding Brook, and Windham. Charges vary from $40-$45 and includes: greens fee, cart, lunch, snacks.
