2011 Queen of the Catskills Tournament
The 2011 Queen of the Catskills Tournament is scheduled for July 23, 2011 at the Stamford Golf Club. Please send in your entry by July 15, 2011. The field will be limited to 36 teams. There is an Application link at the top of this page.

Women's Tuesday Night League
We would love to have you join our Tuesday Night League. You do not have to make a summer commitment, if you want to play on Tuesday sign up before the Monday of the Tuesday you would like to join us. It is a scramble format, lots of fun. We meet at 4:30 play at 5:00.
The first interest meeting of the Women's Tuesday night league will be Tuesday, May 31st. Members and non-members are welcome to play. There will be a sign up sheet in the ladies locker room. If there are any question please contact Vicki Joshpe, 607-434-2320 or email vjoshpe@hotmail.com

2010 Queen of the Catskills Tournament Winners!
When it looked like the start of a dark and cloudy day the Queens waved
their magic wands the clouds parted, the sun shined, the birds sang and
the Queens again reigned, instead of rained on! However, the bag boys
and other jesters should be mentioned for assisting the ladies with
their baggage and placing it in the proper carriages carts. Enough can
not be said for the SWGA and all those who make this annual event
possible. The compliments from those who participate should make you
very proud of being Queens of the Catskills. Thank you and
Congratulations.
On Saturday July 24th 2010, the Stamford Women’s Golf Association held its 6th annual Queen of the Catskills Golf Tournament with two MAJOR sponsors this year. Chad Joshpe, Financial Services Representative with MetLife Financial Group of NY and The National Bank of Delaware County continuing their support of this exciting ladies tournament. We were pleased to announce that the field was filled six weeks before the registration date.
Also as a continuing supporter, The Greater Stamford Area Chamber of Commerce once again sponsored the $10,000.00 “hole in one” prize on the par 3 hole # 8. This year’s beverage cart sponsor was the Kaaterskill House, Coffee Shop in Stamford, NY. Breakfast was compliments of TP’s Café, on course snacks were provided by Grand Union Family Market of Stamford.

Fifteen Stamford women competed in Inter-County this year with matches at Stamford, Cobleskill, Nick Stoner and Canajoharie. The individual winners total (not including Championship) for Stamford was $241; with Cobleskill our nearest competitor at $113. At the Championship match held at Canajoharie, Stamford had winners in each of the four flights as follows:

We have an interesting opportunity for next year in that we have been
invited to play with another Inter-County League as guests”. Their
tournaments are all on Fridays which will not conflict with our
regularly scheduled play on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Their schedule
starts on May 27 and includes every Friday through August 26.
Clubs involved are: Sycamore, Sunny Hill, Windham, Rip Van Winkle, Rainbow, Red Hook, Winding Brook, Frear Park, Blackhead, Catskill, Copake, Thurderhart, Meadowgreens and Christman’s. So many courses, so little time!!!!
Frances Archibald will again be the representative for Stamford for
2011
so if you are interested in playing, please sign up on the sheet in the
Women’s Locker room. See you in the Spring!!
